She had warm-hearted memories of feasting on mutton at her parent’s
house on rainy days like today.
What she loved most was the bone marrow. The struggle to get the marrow out of the bone by tapping it repeatedly on the plate, sucking it, feeling it melt in the mouth... Oh, how she missed it, especially when it rained like this.

They seldom consumed mutton at her in-laws house. Yet, she
had coaxed her husband into buying mutton today.

DeleteI am a vegetarian, never had an egg, let alone sucking on a bone but, you described bone marrow like the forbidden fruit you cant have and once you did get a chance, it was snatched away from you.
